We believe healthcare should be transparent, simple, and easy to understand. That’s why we’ve put together this FAQ page to help you learn more about our membership model, services, and what to expect as a patient.
At Abiding Health Concierge Medicine, we believe healthcare should be simple, personal, and accessible. Below you’ll find answers to common questions about our services, approach, and what makes concierge medicine different.
Our practice is designed around giving you more time, access, and personalized care. You’ll benefit from longer, unrushed appointments with same-day or next-day availability so you can be seen when you need it. You’ll also have a direct relationship with your doctor, including private phone, text, or email access—no layers of staff or busy call centers in the way. Most importantly, we focus on prevention through proactive, individualized health planning rather than just reacting when illness occurs.

Yes, we accept and bill insurance for medically necessary services such as annual physicals and preventive screenings, office visits for illness or chronic conditions, laboratory testing and pathology, imaging studies (X-ray, MRI, CT, etc.), and prescription medications at the pharmacy. Your membership fee covers many services. While it is not reimbursed by insurance, it may be submitted for reimbursement through your Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA). Coverage and approval of concierge services depend on your HSA or FSA provider.
We provide comprehensive primary care for both adults and children, including same-day or next-day sick visits, chronic disease management (such as diabetes, hypertension, asthma, and heart or kidney disease), and preventive screenings with advanced personalized testing. Our care also extends to coordinating with specialists and hospitals when needed, as well as offering lifestyle, nutrition, and health coaching to support your overall well-being.

In short, none of them, with access to all. Abiding Health Concierge Medicine is a private practice completely independent of major hospital systems. This independence is a significant benefit to our members: Dr. Dunn is unrestricted in referring you to the best specialists and facilities, ensuring you receive the highest level of care, regardless of where they practice. Dr. Dunn maintains close, collaborative relationships and has hospital access with all the major local systems—Corewell Health, Trinity Health, University of Michigan Health-West, and Holland Hospital. Crucially, he is also free to access any other centers of excellence needed for your optimal health outcome. Freedom of Choice and Coordination When hospitalization or specialty care is required, we have the freedom to discuss what makes the best medical sense and offers the most convenience for your specific needs. This ensures your care plan is driven purely by medical necessity and your preference, not by institutional limitations.
Your health deserves more than quick visits and long waits. At Concierge Medicine Doctor, we’re here to provide the personalized, accessible, and compassionate care you’ve been looking for.
